I was checking out at the cashier whilst I saw a pack of pink roll papers on the shelves right in front of me. I stepped out the line to the shelves. I could touch the paper but I couldn't take it out due to the high shelves. I tiptoed, reached out my hand again, yet couldn't take it out. As I turned around, thinking about when I would have time to buy it at another grocery store, the tall young man waiting in the line behind me walked to the shelves, just a second, the paper was in my hand. I said thank you, no reply as usual though. Am I really that short? Or the shelf is too high? Anyone else feels startled to the simplest kindness or just me?
