No Pores

The astounding development of AI has occupied the major news headlines. Amidst the tides of dread, wealth, expectation, explanation, etc, my curiosity prompts me to have a close look into the outcomes. I watched some AI generated short videos and pictures. They look more like 3D animations to me, mainly because of the plastic skin texture, the flawless skin has no pores at all. How come they say the AI can replace the movie industry? Maybe in the long future, but not now. Tech companies, influencers and media work real hard to get attention and money by the exaggeration.  If in the future, bots do the daily chores, AGI completes all the office work, further more, people find solace, relationship, human emotion, delight of flesh in AI, what else can human do to exchange money to survive or climb the social ladder? Will there still be money in the future? Is human's being still necessary? That's still a long way to go, unless the AI can survive without electricity, human can main...

Last Few Drops Of Wax

If these signs insinuate I'm burning the last few drops of wax of my life candle, then, I hope I can go back to my motherland prior to the quench of waning light. Going back myself is easier than carrying some ominous container by anyone. In the not-instantaneous condition, she repeats the name in her mind again and again as her consciousness fades together with a teardrop.

Read And Write

I foresee another month of poverty, for justice's sake.  I did some research in grocery stores, at the bottom of shelves are the cheapest grains that can be mixed with veggies to make a meal relatively nutritious. Meat is not in the budget. Water purifier functions not, drinking clean water is a luxury. I don't want my kidney to filtrate the dirty water that can paint the kettle brown after boiling. As a result, I remain thirsty. I always overestimate the amount of food I can eat, maybe my anxiety for starvation is an overthinking. From the experience of the past few years, I've found the best way to make everyday pass easier is to read, read a lot. In the recent years, I'd add writing as another way to let the time flow without concerns for the physical desires which each human has.  All in all, “read and write” is my solution for the life stuck in poverty. To forget the empty stomach and droughty throat.

Furiousness

The furiousness in my eyes can vaporise all the two-meters-high snow piles along the way in one microsecond.

Money

I ask the mop and rubber gloves in my hands if they think I look rich or have the so-conspicuous potential to be a billionaire/trillionaire that they all ask me to give them a tremendous amount of money.  The mop and gloves reply not. They simply cover their mouth and narrow their eyes. A silent response, too ambiguous for me to decipher.

Six Coins

Have never felt such a relief with no money in the pocket. Yet still need to stay alive for half a month.  Actually, there are six coins in the linen bag, so the challenge is to live half a month with six coins. Oh yeah! Ha ha ha.  When you said you were jealous of me, I didn't tell you the truth which is that I'm the poorest shit you may ever met. Thy jealousy or whatsoever is completely unnecessary, rich dude.

Growth

“Politique is filthy.” “Yeah, it's nasty.” It was also something I eluded for a long time because of the brutality and complexity (not the one I've learned in school). Now the only remaining one who knows me is related closely to the nasty thing we've mentioned. Maybe one inevitable part of growth is to face it — something horrible, objectively. It's somehow akin to my reations towards the horror film, from covering my eyes to analysing if the director has successfully told something meaningful by such horrifying expressions. If not, then the film is lousy.  If we rementioned it, I'd say “La politique est très très intéressante.” Thanks for the demonstration of the art of politicizing everything, including us.

All Ducks Liked Me

My burlap sack swayed whilst I threw the pumpkin buns to the water. Ducks were frightened, flapped to the opposite side, but next second they all moved back to catch the bread crumbs in water. I never felt so welcomed when dozens of ducks swam to my direction. Sometimes one duck caught a big chunk of bread, swam through all other ducks to devour the food alone in a corner. A huge flock of crows patrolled in the sky, stopped on a high leafless tree far away. Sunset painted the branches orange. Music matched the scene perfectly.

You

You may be curious why. As they sing — 'cause all of me, love, all of you. You ∈ [3, + ∞).  I ⊆You.

Together

This is the first new year we ring in together. I thought I'd stayed inside like every other year, just listening to the perpetual fireworks. Unexpectedly, your text popped up, you asked me to see the first day of new year together. I jumped up and down, laughed. I couldn't move my eyes from the screen, to make sure I was not in a dream. I put on as many clothes as possible, rushed into the drifting snow at late night. The streets were empty, only snow, me and firework sounds.  We met at the deep-snow-covered beach. The river was frozen, the border between river and beach was erased. I took off my gloves to make some selfies with you. Two minutes later, I could barely moved my frozen fingers. At the moment I covered my mouth by my hand to warm it up by exhaling some warm air. Your hot palm took my hand, wrapped it into your pocket. We counted down from 10 to 1, then happy new year. We were the only people on the midnight snow field. The ceaseless snow poured on us, we found a w...
